Bombay Bunts Association (BBA) has fulfilled its long cherished dream of having its college/s. 'Bunts Institute for Higher Education' a day college was taken over by us from MSS College of Commerce, Sanpada which was managed under aegis of Matysyodari Shikshan Sanstha, Jalna, and we started functioning at at the Shashikala Manmohan Shetty Complex at 'Bunts Center' Juinagar with effect from 13th September, 2013 under the aegis of BBA. Thereafter, added a feather to its cap by starting a Night College - 'Bunts College of Higher Education'. BBA has accomplished its pilot project of having its own educational Institutes at Navi Mumbai, an extended suburb of Mumbai Metropolis.
By establishing educational Institutes, the BBA has opened up opportunities for the lower strata of the society for all round development to equip them to face the challenges in the employment market when they are out of college.
Presently, employers are looking out for fresh talents by having campus selection from the educational Institutes to keep pace with the changing scenario. We have to build a college of repute and try to churn out as many students as possible with mental equilibrium so that they can face the challenges.
Complete focus and aim of the college is to relate the educational process to the real–time requirements of the present day world, so that the moment they are out of the Institution, they are ready to take up the challenges ahead in life and breathe easy in their work environment. In the present scenario and with the corporate culture, global employers are looking up to the colleges for supplying multiskilled talent that can match their requirements. To achieve this objective, present day educational Institutions need to build, design and create a very effective and efficient mechanism to impart quality education by having customized programmes for students and duly complemented with continuous training of the teachers.
We, at Bombay Bunts Association have been working continuously to achieve these objectives for over a decade. We believe in a transparent and open minded policy of education which will continue to involve all the concerned parties' i.e parents, teachers and students. Their valuable inputs and views would be taken, studied and implemented at all levels, so that our Institution will be able to earn a good name in Navi Mumbai.
Education, in the truest sense, should co-ordinate the development of three faculties - physical, mental and moral.
Education has also a fourth dimension – social dimension. It must train the student for citizenship, the art of co-operating with others, the art of living in society. It must place before him the ideal of “service before self”. In this way, the education can help to create the ideal citizen for the ideal society.
It has been said that education should make a person fit not only for a living, but for life itself. It should help one to earn his livelihood, but it should also help one to develop a balanced personality, which is the secret of success in life.
As incumbent president, I express my deep gratitude to all our Past Presidents, Office Bearers, Trustees and Managing Committee Members for their wholehearted support and encouragement in managing the affairs of the colleges. We are confident that we will scale greater heights in the years to come and fulfill the objects of setting up the educational institutes for imparting education to the less privileged sections of the society.
Managing committee of BBA is deeply indebted and grateful to all our donors and well-wishers especially, Shri. Shashikiran J. Shetty, Allcargo Logistics Limited and Mr. B.B.Shetty of Barkur Charitable Trust for donating generously under their CSR initiatives, which has enabled BBA to provide good infrastructure for BIHE & BCHE.
Through this message, I would also like to recognize and appreciate the valuable contributions made by Mr. Ramesh T. Shetty, first Chairman of Higher Education Committee during the formative period of our college. Adv. Rathnakar V. Shetty, Adv. Ashok D. Shetty, and Mr. Shridhar K. Shetty are instrumental to start both the colleges and they involved in the activities of the college right from the formative stage to till date and their selfless services for the growth of college are praiseworthy and commendable. Later on CA Vishwanath Shetty joined them as a treasurer and Mr. Vinod Alva as Joint Secretary, whose experience and expertise have helped us immensely in furtherance of our objectives.
I take this opportunity to compliment and appreciate tremendous efforts put in by Dr. Rashmi D. Chitlange, Principal of BIHE and Dr. S.S. Bhandari, Principal, BCHE and for their role in managing the affairs of the colleges smoothly. We also take this opportunity to thank all the faculty members, non-teaching staff and students of BIHE & BCHE and the co-operative parents for their unstinted cooperation and support to the Institutions.
Our motto is to impart quality education to all those who have enrolled with us and I sincerely wish them best luck in their endeavors.
